Welcome to the Family Wellness at Teravista new patient center!
We understand that meeting with a doctor for the first time can be nerve racking. Filling out paperwork, learning new procedures, and getting the most out of your care can be an overwhelming experience. That’s why at Family Wellness at Teravista our aim is to remove any stress causing unnecessary tension and to make you feel comfortable.
If you are wondering what to expect, you’ve never been to a chiropractor before or you’re just curious about what type of care you will have with a chiropractor, you’re in the right place. Here is what a typical patient experience is like:
Step One: Request a New Patient Appointment
We pride ourselves on building relationships in the community and that means making sure every patient has a positive, unique and memorable experience. We recognize every patient has different needs, concerns and expectations. We want to make sure we understand all of these before moving forward so everyone is happy. A 15-30 minute new patient appointment will help us understand how to best serve you, if we can accept your case and allow you to determine if we are a good fit for you and your family. If you are ready, you can request a New Patient Appointment and complete your New Patient Intake Here.
Step Two: New Patient Appointment
By now, you have set up a time to do a thorough evaluation. This will most likely be the most comprehensive spinal and lifestyle evaluation you’ve ever had. We will work to discover the true cause of your health concerns or what is preventing you from optimal function. This visit may include a history, examination, computerized posture analysis score, body mass index, body fat percentage, core strength and flexibility and blood work or a motion x-ray study if necessary all designed to create what we call your Wellness Score. Our initial assessment will determine what action steps we need to take next. Prior to your first appointment, you will need to complete the forms on our website here. Step Three: Report of Findings
Following your evaluation, we need to determine what is the best course of action regarding your care. Patients have a variety of concerns from Low Back Pain, Neck Pain and Headaches to Heartburn, Weight Problems and Allergies. We will review your exam findings, explain the cause of your problem and the solution to meet your specific needs. Our comprehensive approach will use a variety of strategies to help you Eat Well, Think Well and Move Well so you can Be Well.
Step Four: Ongoing Care
We will devise an individualized recommendation catered to meet your needs and health care goals at your pace. This may include a series of adjustments, massage therapy, meditation, nutrition counseling, exercise protocols, personal training, detoxification program, supplementation or ergonomics/lifestyle modification.
